Phoenix – Today, the January for Attorney General campaign released polling of 817 registered likely voters in Arizona, showing her just one point behind the current Attorney General Mark Brnovich.
This race has been close for months. Mark Brnovich has refused to participate in two debates and, most recently, a TV news program where Contreras was also scheduled to appear.
“The only poll that really matters is the voters of Arizona, but it's great to see the numbers match the desire for honest leadership that voters have shared all over the state”, Contreras said. “We’ve had volunteers and supporters showing up across the State to get the word out about our campaign. They recognize what's at stake when elected officials like Mark Brnovich put healthcare and government transparency at risk to please political insiders and donors. We are putting in work every single day to talk to new voters, and members of all political parties who are ready for a change in leadership.”
January Contreras is a former Deputy County Attorney, Assistant Attorney General, and a founder of a non-profit for abused and vulnerable kids and young adults. She’s running for Attorney General to bring honesty, accountability, and transparency back to our government, and to put the safety, financial security, and well-being of Arizonans first.
